Who We Are

Kurdukar & Co. is a Mumbai-based boutique law firm. We advise and represent financial institutions, infrastructure enterprises, public sector undertakings, technology businesses, and real estate developers on their most consequential legal matters. Our practice is defined by rigour, commercial judgment, and a refusal to treat any mandate as routine.

The firm was built on a simple principle: that clients deserve senior counsel who understands the law and the transaction in equal measure. We do not hand work down. Every matter is led from the front, with full partner accountability, from the first instruction to the last.

The firm's principal practice is in Mumbai. We maintain working presence in Delhi and Bengaluru, enabling counsel continuity on matters with a regulatory, Supreme Court, or technology dimension.

Corporate Insolvency Resolution — Financial Creditor Representation

The firm acted for a consortium of institutional lenders in a Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process before the NCLT, Mumbai. A resolution plan was approved, with recovery achieved above the liquidation value benchmark.

Redevelopment Dispute — Bombay High Court

The firm represented a real estate developer in contested redevelopment proceedings before the Bombay High Court. The developer's position was upheld on the primary issues.

Infrastructure Arbitration — Performance Disputes

The firm acted as counsel in a domestic arbitration arising from the termination of an infrastructure contract, managing both the statement of claim and counterclaim through the evidentiary stage.

Cross-Border Private Equity Transaction

The firm advised on the structuring and execution of a cross-border PE investment into an Indian operating company. The transaction closed within the agreed timeline with all regulatory conditions satisfied.

Constitutional Writ — Public Sector Undertaking

The firm represented a public sector undertaking in writ proceedings before the Bombay High Court. Interim relief was obtained at the first hearing; the matter is at the final argument stage.

Public Offerings — Transaction Advisory

The firm provided full legal advisory on two public offerings, each exceeding Rs. 1,000 crore in issue size, with end-to-end SEBI regulatory compliance achieved within the prescribed timeline on both mandates.

He appears regularly before the NCLT, the Bombay High Court, and arbitral tribunals in high-value commercial disputes, and advises on distressed asset acquisitions, private equity transactions, and M&A.

He has authored over ten published papers across corporate law, insolvency, and emerging technology, and has spoken at more than fifty professional and academic sessions on legal practice, AI governance, and the future of the law.
